A Day in the Life of the Wellness Team

Today, we’re taking a dive into how the Wellness Team keeps our Members healthy and cared for. Tune in to see what these incredible people are here to help with every day!

Physician/Geriatrician

As our onsite Medical Director and physician skilled specifically in geriatrics, Dr. Eleni Footman helps hold the Wellness Team together. But she’s responsible for so much more…

  • Addressing Members’ health and wellness questions and concerns and serving as their Primary Care Physician. She sees them in our onsite Wellness Clinic and also performs house calls when needed.
  • Assessing, diagnosing, and treating acute and chronic conditions.
  • Performing diagnostic tests, including lab orders and imaging when necessary.
  • Handling medication management and prescription refills.
  • Participating as a member of the COVID-19 Task Force Team, bringing insight and suggestions to the table with her medical background.
  • Directing medical management for the entire Peachtree Hills Place community, including The Terraces at Peachtree Hills Place.

Therapy Manager

Introducing Dr. Alex Evancho! If you’ve gotten to work with Dr. Evancho, you know just how great she really is! Here’s what she’s up to every day:

  • Managing all therapy services, like massage therapy, acupuncture therapy and foot care services.
  • Performing physical therapy evaluations and treatments for Members that are in need of physical therapy.
  • Providing cupping services for Members.
  • Performing dry needling services.

Dr. Alex Evancho

Nurse Practitioner / Health and Wellness Program Director

Terri Nabritt is a woman of many hats — namely, Nurse Practitioner and Health and Wellness Program Director! Within these categories, Terri is responsible for:

  • Participating as a member of the Operations Leadership Team.
  • Assessing, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions.
  • Performing diagnostic tests, including lab orders and imaging when necessary.
  • Handling medication management and prescription refills.
  • Managing the operations of the Wellness Center, including Therapy Services.
  • Managing the Home Care and Home Health Programs.
  • Assisting with Wellness Questionnaire completion and intake assessments.
  • Interdisciplinary Transitions and Therapy Team Facilitator.
  • Addressing Member’s health and wellness questions and concerns.
  • Performing house calls when needed.
  • Participating as a member of the COVID-19 Task Force Team, bringing insight and suggestions to the table with her medical background.

Nurse

Our nurse is here for our Members! Warm, inviting and kind — she makes sure your time at the Wellness Center is nothing short of comfortable and enjoyable. Here’s an inside look at the responsibilities of our fantastic nurse:

  • Obtaining vital signs, height and weight of Members at the Wellness Center for a visit.
  • Assisting with the Wellness Questionnaire and Intake Assessments during every appointment.
  • Performing blood draws and blood pressure checks.
  • Tending to wound care as necessary.
  • Helping to keep all charts organized and complete.
  • Reviewing discharge orders with Members once their appointments are complete.

Receptionist

Our receptionist is the navigator of the Wellness Center! She’s the first face you see when you come in, and she makes sure you’re greeted with a smile and kindness! Her daily task list typically includes:

  • Scheduling appointments with Members and the team, ensuring that everyone is seen in a timely and organized manner.
  • Facilitating check-in at the Wellness Center as soon as a Member arrives.
  • Making referrals to specialists whenever necessary.
  • Answering phone calls, answering any questions, taking down schedules, and more!
  • Performing blood draws and blood pressure tests to help support the Wellness Team.
