There is always something exciting happening at Peachtree Hills Place! Lately, we’ve been experiencing several social, cultural, and educational events with our Members. Check out what our Members have been up to!
Atlanta Botanical Garden
This month, we were able to escape into a world of wonder at the Atlanta Botanical Garden! While we thoroughly explored the grounds and admired every exhibit, our favorite was Alice’s Wonderland Reimagined! Our Members loved the breathtaking, larger-than-life sculptures.
Oenology Tour of California
Our wine tasting event, the Tour of California, transported our Members to the West Coast with the perfect wine pairings! They learned about how different wines are made, how they’re paired best, and sampled some newfound favorites. Chef Derek prepared a special menu for the event, and Members were able to purchase the wines they loved!
High Museum of Art
From paintings to sculptures, our Members experienced a journey through some of the greatest art pieces in history at the High Museum of Art. The temporary exhibit of Paa Joe: Gates of No Return was a favorite among everyone. All in all, it was a great day to delight the senses!
Bingo Mondays
Every Monday is Bingo night at PHP! Come join the fun, test your luck and win some money. Our Members have been enjoying these opportunities to get to know one another and partake in friendly competitions.
Trivia Tuesdays
Now and then, we like a little friendly competition! That’s why our Trivia Tuesdays have become such a hit with our Members. What started as a way to stay connected during COVID-19 has developed into a weekly event where our Members can test their knowledge. From culture to history to sports, we cover it all!
Memoir Workshops
At Peachtree Hills Place, we believe every story is worth telling. That is why we hosted Memoir Workshop classes for our Members. Our Members learned everything about memoirs from what it is to how to write one. We certainly have some great writers at PHP!
Live Music Nights
This one is one of our favorite events! On Thursdays throughout the month, Members are invited to join us on the patio or from their respective balconies for live music by local musicians. This has been an incredible opportunity for Members to mingle (safely, of course) and enjoy those cooler summer nights!
Book Club
Our Peachtree Hills Place Book Club began meeting online and has transitioned to in-person, socially-distanced meetings. We are reading fantastic stories together, and sharing our thoughts on each. Titles we have already read include Where the Crawdads Sing, The Dutch House, A Gentleman in Moscow, Educated, and Being Mortal. The upcoming books are: Wolf Hall, The Aviator’s Wife, and The Virgin Blue. We can’t wait!
Peachtree Hills Place Croquet Club
We all know that croquet is a crowd favorite at Peachtree Hills Place! Between our highly sought-after croquet clinics with Mr. Boger, to croquet classes each week, and free play whenever the courts are reserved — our croquet lawns are experiencing quite a bit of activity! We love seeing Members enjoy our community green spaces and playing this beloved game.
Petanque
Another crowd favorite! Petanque classes filled up immediately and continue to be a weekly favorite for our Members. In fact, they’ve loved it so much that we’ve added an extra day!
Atlanta History Center
With award-winning exhibitions and gorgeous historic houses and gardens, the Atlanta History Center was certainly an adventure. Our favorite was the Cyclorama exhibit!
Events are ramping up at Peachtree Hills Place! If you’re a Member, and you’d like to be more involved in our events, you can find all the information you’ll need in our weekly newsletters. We can’t wait to see you at our next event!
