Shirley and Norris Broyles are thrilled to be moving into Peachtree Hills Place in 2019. After living in their Buckhead condo for the past 24 years, they decided it was time to hand over some of their household duties and take away any potential burden from their children.
The Broyles are most excited to enjoy their future spacious Brighton home in a neighborhood they already know and love. They look forward to friendships, the deluxe fitness center and onsite healthcare, but most importantly, they look forward to the lock-and-leave lifestyle that allows them to easily spend time with family at their farm in South Georgia or at their beach house in Hilton Head.
Shirley and Norris Broyles first met while attending college in Virginia in the 1950s. Both originally married other people, Shirley marrying Norris’ college roommate.
Shirley raised her five children and later embarked on a 25-year career in the retail fashion industry. Norris became a father of three and worked as a stockbroker. He began his career briefly on Wall Street and then later returned to Atlanta where he retired from Wells Fargo in 2004.
When the two later crossed paths at a reunion after both their spouses had passed, they spent the weekend rekindling their friendship. The next year, Shirley and Norris married and have been happily living in Buckhead since.
