Christopher Hedgepath joins the Peachtree Hills Place community as our Culinary Services Manager. Born and raised in Greenville, SC, Chris attended The University of South Carolina before moving to Atlanta to further his education, pursuing a passion for Art, at The Art Institute of Atlanta.
While attending the Art Institute, Chris began his career in the hospitality industry assisting the Surin family and launching Atlanta’s first reputable flagship Thai restaurant, Surin of Thailand. As the General Manager for 18 years, Chris grew the business through his strong management skills and standards of exemplary service. Along with those skills, superb food quality, a repeated exemplary Health food rating, and a renowned reputation, Surin of Thailand won various awards, such as Atlanta’s Favorite Thai Restaurant, in the Creative Loafing and Zagat publications.
After many years with Surin of Thailand, an opportunity presented itself at the Shed in Glenwood, to help build the restaurant’s concept into a profitable restaurant through a marketing approach using social media by increasing menu exposure. Through various wine dinners and other social events, the neighborhood bistro gained tremendous popularity among the locals.
Outside of the restaurant, Chris has a passion for art through photography and floral design, receiving his BA in Commercial Photography at the Art Institute. Chris enjoys creating elaborate and beautiful live floral arrangements which are displayed in various homes throughout the city and foyers of various condominiums and businesses throughout Atlanta.
We are excited and honored to have Chris as part of our community, and as part of our family. Please help us welcome Chris as he shares his expansive Restaurant Management skill set, his warmth, attentiveness and willingness to assure complete satisfaction as he brings his proven history of success to our dining experience.
Welcome home Chris!
