Today I would like to introduce you to Gwendolyn Rodgers, who joined Peachtree Hills Place in December 2018 as our Human Resources Business Partner. Gwendolyn, or Gwen for short, grew up in Columbus, Georgia, as the eldest of four children. Gwen’s parents took her and her younger brothers and sister to many places domestically and abroad, such as Brazil, Haiti, West Africa and South Africa, to help others in need. Growing up in a family of physicians planted a seed of interest in healthcare within her heart; however, she took a special liking to the policies and legal aspects of the industry. Gwen is a proud alumna of Spelman College, where she studied English and Political Science.
Gwen loves serving her community and making a positive impact on her surroundings and finds it paramount that she works in an environment that has a mission to do the same. This is why she was drawn to the opportunity to work at Peachtree Hills Place. Gwen believes in Andy’s vision when he says, “We are purpose-driven, and our mission is to love and serve our Members”.
Gwen has previously worked for Visiting Angels, GW Rainbow Adult Day Treatment Center, and New Horizons Behavioral Health for the State of Georgia, which is a center for mental health and developmental disabilities. Beyond work, Gwen’s passions are her 9-year-old twin daughters, biking, being an early adopter of the latest technology, trying new dishes with lots of spice and flavor and music. She’s also a published author of the sci-fi novel “Hostages of the Sphere”, available on Amazon!
Please join us in welcoming Gwen to Peachtree Hills Place.
