Peachtree Hills Place Move-In Update

We recently hosted a member event on Move Services for Peachtree Hills Place Members. First, thank you to all of our Members who attended! We value these special moments to come together and see your relationships grow. In case you missed it, watch our video below.

Speaking of move-ins, that’s exactly what our recent event was about. If you couldn’t make the event, are new to Peachtree Hills Place, or just looking into buying a home in our community, this update is for you. (And for those members who did attend and want to share the good news with your friends and family!)

Read on to see where we are today, what’s next, and what you can do to start preparing for move-ins next year.

Where Peachtree Hills Place is Today

Good news! We are on schedule to have our first move-ins as planned.

If you’ve driven by Peachtree Hills Place lately, it looks entirely different! Structures are out of the ground for the Club & Lodge, pool building and Austin Walk I, II and IV. The dog park fencing has even begun!

Take a moment to explore our 3D view of Peachtree Hills Place starting with the glu-lam structure of the pool building. Drag your cursor around to see more of our development in progress.

See our October Construction Blog for a full update.

So… What Does That Mean For Me?

As our community gets further out of the ground, we will begin Isakson Living’s 5-step Quality Control Check to make sure your home is exactly what you planned with our team. Our Isakson Living team will personally oversee each step of the process, walking through the community on an individual basis on your behalf.

Step 1: Structural/Layers

At this time, we are excited to announce the first and second floors of Austin Walk I and II are complete and have successfully passed our structural layout and inspection process. This is when we personally walk through the building to verify that any customizations you selected are accounted for such as adding a fireplace, moving a sink, adding or deleting case openings or walls, etc. We take this step seriously and walk through your home with the contractors on a one-on-one basis to ensure your home meets your agreed upon modifications.

We are in this process now and will continue as each structure/floor is completed.

Step 2: Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP)

Once the building is dried in, we begin Step 2, the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing quality check. This several-month-long process includes adjustments/confirmations of outlets, phone and television jacks, mechanical registers, plumbing, draining, pipes and more.If any of your modifications included plumbing changes, this is the phase where we confirm the plumbing is in place to do so.

This will begin toward the end of November 2018 (yes, this year!).

Step 3: Cabinets/Tops

Now is the fun part, when your home really starts coming to life. Once the structure of your home is set in place and all MEP has been verified, your cabinetry and countertops are installed and inspected. Yes, this is what you’ve been envisioning since your first meeting with Maricita! The good news is Step 3 is a relatively quick process.

This will begin in Spring 2019.

Step 4: Finishes

We’re really moving and shaking now. Once Cabinets/Tops are in place, we begin the final finishes such as paint color, bathroom tile, and hardwood flooring or carpet in the locations you selected. At this point, your dream home is closer to reality than you think (and we hope you’ve started planning accordingly!).

This will also begin in Spring 2019.

Step 5: Punch

The last step is in the details. Our Isakson Living team will walk through the home with the architect and contractor and point out every little detail and finishing touch that needs a second look or to be corrected before you move in.

This will start early to late Spring 2019.

“It’s time to be prepared for the fourth quarter of our life. We’ll be able to travel, have a health facility across the way, walk down to the BNR; We love the neighborhood. This fits.” -Doug and Florida Ellis

That’s Great, But When Can I Move In?

Before you close, we will schedule a tour to walk you through your new home. Once your tour is complete, our moving coordinator will schedule closings with members. Closings will start 30 days before move-ins beginning with the first units to be delivered. This will include Austin Walk I and II, and The Club & Lodge
