The following awards were presented at the LeadingAge Georgia Annual Business Meeting held on Friday, December 5th at Wesley Woods at Newnan in Newnan, Georgia.
LeadingAge Georgia Caring Heart Award
Presented to Michael Paul, CNA at the Terraces at Peachtree Hills Place
This award recognizes the achievements of frontline staff and direct care employees, whose caring spirit have made significant impact upon the lives of older adults, while working for a LeadingAge Georgia member organization.
LeadingAge Georgia Award of Honor
Presented to Tim Knight, Executive Director of Organizational Development & Training at Park Springs and the Terraces at Peachtree Hills Place
The Award of Honor, the Association’s highest award, is presented to a distinguished individual or organization who has provided outstanding leadership to the Georgia Association and whose exemplary service and commitment to quality have advanced both the association and the aging-services field.

Since 2007, nearly 500 staff from LeadingAge Georgia member organizations have completed the Leadership Academy, emerging as confident, innovative, and emotionally intelligent leaders ready to make a difference at every level of their organizations. The Academy is designed for professionals in any role, empowering them to lead authentically, build strong relationships, and tackle challenges collaboratively.
Through a combination of in-person and online experiences, individualized coaching, and practical tools, graduates develop a deep understanding of themselves as leaders, strengthen their Emotional Intelligence skills, and gain the confidence to inspire and grow others around them. Each year, Academy alumni leave equipped not just with knowledge, but with the skills, connections, and vision to create the future of aging services.
