Atlanta Magazine Home featured Peachtree Hills Place members Andrea Strickland and Jerry Cohen’s home in an article regarding the surprising rewards of downsizing in their fall issue. The couple worked with friend and tvsdesign founder and architect Tom Ventulett and interior designer Mark Williams to create a 4,500-square-foot stucco cottage with a Modernist, curved-glass balcony, soaring cathedral ceilings, and elegant woodwork, benches, and lanterns reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright.
Peachtree Hills Place provided the best of both worlds – proximity to friends and a new custom house. The biggest challenge was sorting through a lifetime of possessions and installing the couple’s extensive art collection that was curated over decades.
“In the end, we were able to reapply their art collection without thinning it. You can actually see it better in the smaller house. It’s less spread out and more present in public spaces,” shared Williams. The best compliment of all? Longtime friends have come over and asked, “Is that piece new?”
